Following the success of the Scholars’ Scholar campaign in 2016, FSDP are pleased to announce that they have launched a follow up campaign for 2017.
Last year FSDP launched the Scholars’ Scholar campaign to enable its scholars to raise enough money to fund a scholarship in 2017, with money being donated, or raised through various fundraising challenges including canoeing, stopoctober, zip wires and more!
Said FSDP Chairman, Keith Bayliss “Our scholarships are awarded at no cost or obligation to the scholars, however our Scholars’ Scholar campaign provides a way to support our work in the best possible way – providing a scholarship to help another disabled person Reach for the Sky!”
Former scholar, Pauline Gallagher said; “Receiving my scholarship changed my life and it’s wonderful knowing that the money I raised through my Freedom of Flight challenge in support of the Scholars’ Scholar campaign is going towards changing someone else’s life too.”
Mathew Monaghan, aged 27 from Northern Ireland and who suffers from muscular dystrophy, is the first recipient of a scholarship funded by the Scholars’ Scholar campaign and will be training at Shadow Aviation in the summer.
